The Consulate General of the Republic of Macedonia
On July 4th, 2012 The Consul General, Dragan Gjurceski, presented the Canadian Macedonian Historical Society a virtual library of Macedonian literature consisting of 130 titles of fiction, children’s stories, poetry, short stories, drama, etc.)
These books were translated into English by over 80 prominent translators, one of which was our own University of Toronto Dr. Christina Kramer. These books were presented in their entirety to the Canadian Macedonian Historical Society before several members of the Board and a number of our members.
Patsy Sider, who is a prominent member of the Macedonian Literary Society was also present, to represent Canadian Macedonian authorship. She also donated three of her own books (Between Two World –poems; Amazing Garden – short stories; Prohibited Culture – Zabranet Kultura).
It is indeed an honour to have these copies in our library so that our members will be able to read them, when the Library is open. We hope to have enough volunteers to organize at least one day when the library will be open again on a regular basis in the future.

Consul General Dragan Gjurceski officially presents 130 titles of english translated copies of Macedonian books to Co-presidents of the CMHS John THomas and Virginia Evans
