I was going to get the Lord's blessing.
The church choir chant sweetly.

Every Sunday in the church
I felt a particular joy.
I felt peaceful
Because I Love the
Christian believes.
I admired the icons, the paintings.
What liveliest expressions were these!
The faces of the Saints were painted with skill
Which were called the highest skill of art.
On the icons, I noticed a different kind of letter.
The letter Z drew my attention.
"The letter Z is not a Greek letter "r", I told myself,
6 "What is the meaning of the Z?", I questioned myself.
I always stared at the letter "Z" with an admiration.
The letter "Z" had big influence inside me.
It stayed in my memory alive
Like a bright star.
In Canada, my new country
I have learned that the letter "Z" lives and it will live for ages.

The eighth letter of the Macedonian Alphabet.
The Greeks demolished the church of St. Panteleimon, in Lerin.
And the priceless icons, the Macedonian Art disappeared.
