Aspassia Bossota-Patsy Sider was born in the city of Florina-Lerin on April 10th of
1943, the fifth child of the six children of Avraam and Konstantina Bossota (five
daughters and a son.) Her education was Grade Twelve.
ln 1962 her and her family, for political reasons, they decided to immigrate to
Canada. In Canada, she met Angelo Sider-Evangelos Sideropoulos from Florina-
Lerin, and they got married in 1964. The Lord awarded them with three children
Steve, Lillian and Nick. From their married children Lillian and Steve, they have
four grandchildren, Tiffany, Lauren, Jason and Julia.
In the free world of Canada, she had a desire to continue her education and after a
hard day's work, at nights she took various courses and she was awarded many
Certificates of Knowledge.
The National Library of Poetry awarded her the Editor's Choice Award for Outstanding
Achievement in Poetry twice in 1997 and once in 2006. On January 9th of 1998 the
Stratford Career Institute in Toronto awarded her the Diploma in Creative Writing.
She is an active member of the Macedonian Community in Toronto and lifetime
member of the International Society of Poets.
In 1975, she was elected as President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Macedonian
Orthodox Cathedral Church of Saint Clement of Ohrid, in the city of Toronto, and
in 1985, she was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from the Committee
Members and the President of the Church, Mr. Tome Tanasovski, for her dedicat
ion,
kindness and hard work towards the church and the Macedonian people.
She served as well as volunteer and at the Canadian Macedonian Place, (Home for the Aged.)
In Canada, she worked at various jobs and she owned a Restaurant and a Retail
Business. Presently she is managing her own Investment Properties.
Patsy Sider-Aspassia Bosscta is the author of five poetry books entitled
"Diary of a Soul (1998)" "A Spark from the Ashes (1998)" "Between Two Worlds
(2000)" "The Joy of Justice (2003)" "Prohibited Culture) (2006)" a book of Short Stories
entitled "Amazing Garden (2009) and author of many other poems, many other short
stories of fifteen hundred words each story or less and children' stories. Her hobby is
writing.
